While MØ talks about how she feels about her newly released album, “Forever Neverland”, Alma promises us that her new album is coming out soon. It’s evident that these girls have a “sisterhood bond”, as MØ would say, and they are definitely supporting and empowering each other. Watch the interview above!
After quite some time I finally got back in the mood to shoot video footage. My background is film, I studied at Vancouver Film School, Canada and worked as a Camera Assistent on numerous movie sets. But film is war, and so much work! - I felt at some point, and that feeling made me lose interest. Years ago I decided to set myself up as a freelance photographer and completely ignored the challenge of filming.
As of lately I want to get back to actual video shooting again. It’s much more work than shooting stills, but it’s also so much more fun and rewarding to look at. So yes, I’m quite sure that the video above featuring Fizzy Mag editor Alara in the latest Vans x Nasa sneaks & apparel wasn’t my last video for this year. Stay tuned!
A few weeks ago I went to Berlin for a 2-day photo production with Fizzy Mag and Nike Women, specifically for Nike’s Air Force 1 Sage Low model. The shoot took place at Nike’s showroom, right in the center of Berlin Mitte. The whole place got transformed into a pastel pink environment, with beautiful flowers and lots of chiffon.
We rebuilt a set inspired by the current global Nike Air Max campaign featuring singer-songwriter Jorja Smith. My models, amazing rap artist Eunique – originally from Hamburg –, and Joana, a Berlin based choreographer, were super fun & easy to shoot. The girls bring the right attitude on set, which I always look for in girls: Strong, yet feminine.
If you’re in Berlin, head over to the Nike app. You can sign up for Eunique’s & Joana’s ‘Season of Force’ dance workshop, and have a good time.
